Community Supported Agriculture

BENEFITS OF COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE

Community Supported Agriculture is a fantastic way for people who want fresh local produce.  CSA members support the farms by buying seasonal “shares” that provide them with fruits, vegetables and other farm products. Members receive boxes of farm fresh goodies every week during the growing season. All farms are non-GMO and deliver May-September.

Dearborn Area

Prochaska Farms is located in Tecumseh; they will be dropping off at the Dearborn store on Tuesdays at 3:00.  Shares run from $273 - $476 (1/2 share vs full share).

Please go to their website for details and to sign up.

Plymouth Area

Tantré Farm is a Certified Organic farm located in Chelsea. They will be dropping off at the Plymouth Store on Wednesday mornings. Shares will be outside in the parking lot behind the building. A volunteer will be there to check off your name, and give further instructions, if needed.  Shares will not be refrigerated, so please pick up shares promptly (especially on hot days!) to enjoy your produce at its freshest.

Please contact Tantré Farm directly via their website to learn more and sign up.

Buying Shares From Tantré Farm

Pure Pastures is not responsible for shares left unclaimed, unless prior arrangements have been made. A full share is $640.  They do not offer a ½ share option, so consider splitting one with a friend.   Members of our Summer CSA will receive 18 weeks of fresh, organic produce one time per week from late May through the end of September for $640. These shares are prorated for later sign ups throughout the season for $35/week. Our Summer CSA 2020 season runs for 18 weeks from the week of May 30th through the end of September.

Members will receive a wide variety of early, mid, and late summer fresh, organic produce, as well as the best of our early fall storage crops and hearty field vegetables from your chosen location one time per week. You will receive your produce each week in a 1/2 bushel box with additional “share add-ons” served buffet style as the season progresses.

During the early part of the season, your share will fill approximately 1 or 2 full grocery bags. You'll continue to receive more items as the season continues, which will increase to approximately 2 or 3 grocery bags full of produce. Final payments for Summer CSA are due on May 1, unless other arrangements are pre-arranged.
